We are a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting persons with disabilities throughout Niagara to achieve their independent living goals.

NCIL works with consumers to build a personalized program of support for individuals living with a disability within the Niagara Region, Canada.  

NCIL provides four main program services; all pertaining to the purpose of helping someone with a disability live independently. We do this by ensuring awareness of and access to the support required for every day living, inclusive of work and home life. 

We care about our consumers’ success, before, during and after work. We want to help our consumers live with confidence through the benefits of our programs.

OUR Programs

Advocacy

Our advocacy service is here to assist you, as a person with a self identified disability, to express your opinions and make your views heard in order to lead positive change in your life.

Direct Funding

The Direct Funding (DF) Self-Managed Attendant Services Program embodies the key principles of the Independent Living philosophy: choice, flexibility and control!  Direct Funding offers opportunities for persons with physical disabilities to hire their own attendants.

Work Link

Work Link provides tailored assistance to adults with disabilities throughout the Niagara Region. Our employment facilitators will work with you to create a Return-to-Work Action Plan that works best for your situation.

Peer-Community Participation Support

Providing local community interaction opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.  This program accepts referrals through Developmental Services Ontario.

We also have our computer lab with various accessible technology, and a telephone for our consumers to use free of charge.
